Merdeka is HIRING! We are looking to hire a passionate applicant to join our team as

DATABASE GEOLOGIST

(Code: GEOS - DATABASE GEOLOGIST) 

This position will be responsible for managing geological databases and ensuring data quality across various databases (Assays, Geology, Geotech, Drilling, QAQC, Core Processing, GIS, etc.), as well as preparing data reports and analyses.

Requirements: 

1. Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Geological/Mining Engineering or a related field. 
2. At least 1 year of experience in data management within the mineral exploration and/or mining industry, or fresh graduates are welcome to apply. 
3. Proficient in Geobank and SSMS databases, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, Python, and GIS. 
4. Familiar with 3D mining software such as Micromine and Leapfrog. 
5. Experienced in rock logging and geological data analysis. 
6. Familiar with QAQC methods and data verification. 
7. Capable of analysing complex and comprehensive data with attention to detail and accuracy. 
8. Able to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate effective communication skills. 
9. Proficient in both spoken and written English. 
10. Understands and applies occupational health and safety (OHS) principles for oneself and others.
