PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk - PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM)

PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk is a holding company for a business group engaged in nickel and other mineral mining, processing, and other related activities that are vertically integrated with the strategic mineral value chain and electric motor vehicle batteries. We are looking for experienced and qualified talent to join one of our subsidiary PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) for the following positions: 

 

Biodiversity Foreman 

Requirements: 

• Diploma (D3) in Forestry/Agriculture, or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Forestry, Agriculture, Biology, or related fields 
• At least 1 year of experience in biodiversity 
• Knowledge of standard flora and fauna conservation practices 
• Familiarity with flora and fauna conservation regulations 
• Capability to prepare progress reports Proficient in using ArcGIS / QGIS or other mapping applications. 

Key Roles: 

• Mitigate impacts on natural habitats and/or critical habitats 
• Implement the BMP framework (Avoid, Minimize, Restore, and Offset) to achieve sustainability Implement biodiversity and genetic resource conservation programs 
• Monitor fauna populations, particularly in critical habitats, to ensure their populations remain stable 
• Conduct flora and fauna monitoring in accordance with the company's RKL-RPL documents Implement sanctuary programs for critical habitats to support the conservation of protected wildlife Prepare progress reports on fieldwork to track job targets and achievements
• Chemical Lab. Analyst Requirements: Vocational School/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science 
• Understanding of environmental and soil laboratory operations and management 
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 implementation 
• Knowledge of validation, calibration, and interlaboratory comparison principles and ability to perform them 
• Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment 
• Understanding of wastewater treatment system (IPAL) management in laboratories Possession of Chemical Occupational Health and Safety (AK3 Kimia) certification, and have other certificates that support as a lab analyst 
• Conduct testing of water, soil, and air samples Perform JAR TEST analysis 
• Manage and ensure traceability of test data Validate new test method parameters. 
• Develop and improve laboratory management systems 
• Develop test methods and optimize the latest technologies effectively and efficiently.

 

Environment Field Technician 

Requirements: 

• Minimum high school or equivalent 
• Minimum 1 year in unit supervision activities Understanding of work safety Understanding the basics of mine runoff water management 
• Understanding of unit operating 

Key Roles: 

• Conducting unit supervision on sediment pond maintenance 
• Conducting monitoring of environmental management building conditions 
• Conducting recording of equipment activities 
• Conducting coordination related to maintenance unit operations 
• Creating maintenance activity reports 
• Maintaining and maintaining work equipment properly (assets) 
• Organizing field teams (Crews) in carrying out activities

 

Environment Project Monitoring

Requirements: 

• Diploma (DIII) / Bachelor's degree (S1) relevant to environmental studies (Environmental Engineering, Forestry/Agriculture, Chemistry, Mining) years of experience in mining and at least 1 year in the environmental field 1-3
• Possess a Class A driving license and ability to operate Light Vehicles.
• Proficient in English 
• Basic technical knowledge of environmental sampling and proficiency in using environmental sampling tools/equipment
• Proficient in environmental monitoring technical standards. 
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations Proficiency in mapping software, at least ArcGIS and AutoCAD 
• Familiarity with environmental management technical standards (ISO & SNI) 
• Ability to conduct Environmental Risk Assessment and perform audits to assess compliance with environmental management systems 

Key Roles: 

• Monitor daily water quality measurements (self-monitoring) at compliance points, ensuring immediate action if quality standards are exceeded 
• Ensure all data input, including daily self-monitoring data and third-party laboratory results, is accurately recorded in the environmental database Assess potential environmental impacts of land use on air, water, and soil 
• Conduct environmental inspections for all activities

 

Jr. Environment Engineer 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree relevant to environmental studies (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Geography) 1 year of experience in mining and at least 2 years in the environmental field 
• Having a good english skill (Speaking & Writing) Basic knowledge or competency in Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) related to mining activities 
• Basic knowledge or competency in hazardous waste (B3) management Understanding of environmental management technical standards such as ISO, SNI, etc. 
• Proficiency in GIS or similar mapping applications 

Key Roles: 

• Develop programs and budget plans that support the company's commitment to environmental management 
• Plan and implement inspection activities, including follow-ups on inspection findings 
• Initiate improvements and developments related to environmental management 
• Establish standards for supporting units or facilities for environmental management 
• Provide recommendations or assessments for environmental management programs 
• Evaluate the performance of environmental management conducted by each department or business partner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk control from operational impacts is carried out according to procedures.

 

Nursery Technician 

Requirements: 

• Minimum high school or equivalent Minimum 1 year in Nursery activities 
• Understanding of work safety 
• Knowing pioneer and native plant types 
• Understanding of planting and maintenance activities 
• Understanding of activities in the Nursery 

Key Roles: 

• Supervision of morning and evening watering activities until the saturation level of the seedlings 
• Supervising the sowing of pioneer types in the seedbed 
• Supervising the sowing of native types for natural seedlings 
• Supervising the weaning of pioneer types in polybags 
• Supervising the making of planting media (polybags) by mixing topsoil, manure and mulch. 
• Performing routine fertilization every week to stimulate seedling growth, especially in the leaves, stems and roots, as well as administering insecticides and fungicides
• Conducting selection of standard ready-to-plant seedlings
• Maintaining and maintaining work equipment properly (assets) 
• Organizing the field team (Crew) so that nursery work can run well and work targets are achieved 

 

Revegetation Technician 

Requirements: 

• Minimum high school or equivalent 
• Minimum 1 year in mining or reclamation and revegetation activities 
• Able to drive a light vehicle and have a Class A driving license 
• Understanding of work safety 
• Knowing pioneer and native plant types 
• Understanding of planting and maintenance activities 

Key Roles: 

• Supervise the implementation of land management 
• Carry out planting stages for pioneer, native, MPTS and LCC types (Making planting holes, making stakes, planting, fertilizing and maintenance) 
• Assist foreman in field data administration 
• Carry out plant development monitoring 
• Carry out embroidery (blanking) and fertilizer application activities 
• Carry out plant maintenance activities 
• Carry out and understand standard selection of ready-to-plant seedlings 
• Maintain and maintain work equipment properly (assets)
