PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) Looking For General Manager

With one of the world’s largest nickel resources, PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) is rapidly growing, integrated with downstream-nickel industry to transform into an integrated nickel industry ecosystem. PT SCM is currently searching experienced and qualified talents for the following key General Manager (GM) positions, directly reporting the Vice President Geoscience

 

GM EXPLORATION (SCM - GM EXP)

GM Exploration is accountable for identifying new exploration opportunities of the company interest, overseeing exploration drilling, discovering new resources, delineating incremental resources, and providing exploration support and services for the project development and expansion.

Job Description:

• Identify new exploration opportunities of the company interest aligned with the company missions, goals, and targets.
• Conduct a regional framework and district rating-ranking studies to select new ground targets for new mineral discovery and potential growth.
• Coordinate and oversee all exploration activities, including scout and resource-delineation drilling campaign for new discovery and resource increments.
• Proactively engage with external consultants and research community to identify and evaluate alternative and emerging methods which may positively impact SCM exploration.
• Develop a GIS-based database system for multiple layer data compilation and integration, prospective study and other purposes.
• £stablish and monitor QAQC best practice in SCM exploration activities in accordance to the global standards and codes.
• Develop and maintain robust working relationships with suppliers of analytical services to SCM, both within Indonesia and internationally.
• Proactively manage team members and external providers to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes on time and within budget.
• Assist with development of budgets including the monitoring and reporting actual performance against budgets and forecasts.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc Degree in Geology, Mineral Exploration or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of mining related experience is required,
• At least 5 years ina similar managerial and senior level position required and also have operational experience as a Manager in an operating nickel project.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Geology, economic geology and mineral exploration.
• Direct experience managing large budgets and diverse team is required.
• Proven track record of discovery and resource delineation in nickel and other metal deposits
• Registered Competent Person Indonesia (CPI) as defined in KCMI for laterite nickel mineralization preferred.

 

GM MINERAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION (SCM - GM MRD)

GM Mineral Resources Development and Optimization is accountable for providing guidance for cost- effective drilling strategy, establishing and managing database management system, conducting resource modelling, optimization and reporting, managing strategy for resources conversion into reserves and value creation in line with corporate mission, goals and targets.

Job Description:

• Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities in resource valuation and optimization aimed at growing SCM and value creation for its shareholders.
• Provide guidance for a cost-effective drilling strategy for the Exploration Team to execute and achieve optimal returns
• Oversee the collection and collation of geological data in accordance to the global industry standard
• Establish and manage database management and GIS system along with QAQC procedure and best practices
• Oversee and conduct resource modeling, estimation, optimization and reporting in accordance to the national and global reporting codes and standards
• Oversee and manage strategy for resources conversion into reserves and value creation aligned with the corporate missions, goals and targets
• Develop and manage a network of project specialists, technical consultants and contractors
• Introduce and conduct geometallurgy initiative for the purpose of achieving smooth operation, operational cost efficiency and economic benefit optimization
• Assist with development of budgets including the monitoring and reporting actual performance against budgets and forecasts.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc Degree in Geology, Geostatistics, Mineral Exploration or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of resource geology related experience is required.
• At least 5 years ina similar managerial and senior level position required and also have operational experience as a manager in an operating nickel project.
• Advanced technical knowledge of geology, geostatistics, geometallurgy, and resource modelling and estimation.
• Direct experience managing large budgets and diverse team is required.
• Proven track record of resource estimation and reporting along with production geology experience.
• Registered Competent Person Indonesia (CPI) as defined in KCMI for laterite nickel mineralization preferred.

 

GM MINE TECHNICAL SERVICES (SCM — GM MTS)

GM Mine Technical Services is accountable for leading feasibility studies, developing life of mine plan, conducting reserve optimization and estimation, and providing technical supports and guidance for mine operations.

Job Description:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to all mine technical service functions aligned with the corporate missions, goals and targets.
• Translate and implement the corporate missions, targets and goals into the Mine Technical Service goals and objectives.
• Lead and conduct technical studies in relation to the mine development and value materialization of the mineral resources and reserves.
• Conduct and report reserve optimization, mine design, long-term mine planning and production scheduling in accordance to the national and global reporting codes and standards.
• Manage mine-development related tasks, including geotechnical management, hydrogeological management, metallurgical test work and other related tasks.
• Provide support and guidance for mine operation in the execution of mine planning and production scheduling.
• Introduce, establish, and maintain standards and good mining practices in the mine technical services functions.
• Promote projects and programs in the MTS that provide continuous improvement in the areas of safety, environment, production, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills for managing, developing and motivating an effective team.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc Degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of mining related experience is required.
• Atleast 5 years ina similar managerial and senior level position required and also have operational experience as a Manager in an operating nickel project.
• Advanced technical knowledge of Mine Engineering, Geology, Geometallurgy, Geotechnical, and Hydrogeology.
• Direct experience managing large budgets and diverse team is required.
• Direct experience with mineral reserve modelling and estimation in nickel is required.
• Registered Competent Person Indonesia (CPI) as defined in KCMI for laterite nickel mineralization preferred.
