Position: Process and Infrastructure Engineering Manager
Work Location: Brisbane, Australia.
The position is under PT Vale Eksplorasi Indonesia and set to be permanent employee. The successful candidate will work in Brisbane, Australia.
Purpose of the Role:
- The role is strategic as it will advance Vale's aspirational target of growing copper and nickel production in Asia Pacific. The role is accountable for support operations (mineral process, technical evaluation of conditions and operational parameters of mine and beneficiation, safety plan and stability of dams, disposal of tailings, among others), safety and health, community and social studies, project development and related field studies, permitting and licensing and will provide support with regional and federal government relations of these projects.
- The role is accountable for the leadership of a regional team and contractors, including support to project site operations in Indonesia and remote operational support/engineering team in Australia (Brisbane). The role is accountable to build the team culture to drive improved performance (operational support, environmental, risk, health and safety, permitting and licensing) as the projects develop; and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (regional and corporate leadership, provincial and federal permitting and licensing agencies).
Accountabilities:
- Effectively develop desktop (FEL1) and conceptual (FEL2) studies arising from Base Metals Operations, JV partners and from internal project generation recognizing that FEL1 studies are completed by various areas in the business or in-house.
- Effectively develop the process and infrastructure related (mineral processing, technical evaluation of conditions and operational parameters of mine and beneficiation plants, safety plan and stability of dams, tailings disposal optioneering, development of infrastructure requirements, among others) aspects of the FEL1 and FEL2 studies.
- Effectively hand-over studies to the FEL3 team for execution of feasibility studies.
- Responsible to provide audit and advisory services for Field Studies, Drilling Operations Planning and support to regional Vale Base Metal's FEL1 and FEL2 teams where required.
- Expected to deliver on improved R&D and capital delivery approach including JV, partnerships, alternative project models etc.
- Perform due diligence in M&A processes of copper and nickel in Indonesia and Asia Pacific.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in bachelor's degree in Technical, Environmental, Mining, or any relevant field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Mining/oil & gas industry; in coordinating and managing a mining project.
- Have Project Management Professional (PMP) License.
- Good at leading diverse multicultural groups in an international environment.

Position: Principal Geometallurgist
Work Location: Head Office, Jakarta
The position is a twelve-months contract under outsourcing company. The successful candidate will work on Head Office, Jakarta.
Purpose of the Role:
The Geometallurgist Principal role is responsible for coordinating the geometallurgy scope considering strong interface with process engineering within a project or multiple projects (FEL 1 and FEL 2 studies) following Vale's governance for Project Development, including Technical Requirements, Risk Analysis and ESG agenda. Responsible for delivering their projects within scope, cost, and scheduled baseline. They are also responsible for managing their contracts following Vale's procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Develop/oversee a geometallurgy programs with geologists, mineralogists, metallurgists and technologists for FEL1 and FEL2 base metal projects, always considering detailed scope of work, scheduling and budget requirements.
- Supervise/conduct metallurgical testing according to the existing standard operational flowsheet/conditions.
- Work together with Mine and Process Engineers for metallurgical and flowsheet evaluation. Design new flowsheets as well as improve existing ones.
- Determine metallurgical risks (impurities, poor recovery or low concentrate grades) and develop mitigating measures.
- Comply with Vale's Management Model, known as VPS (Vale Production System) and on Vale's normative documents for Projects Developments and Deliverables, organized at the Engineering Standardization System (SPE)
- Communicates regularly with the Project team on strategies to ensure that goals and priorities are clearly understood, and project requirements are achieved.
- Lead, coordinate and monitor studies and contractors within your area to ensure project requirements are met in terms of technical quality, schedule and budget execution. Develop and implement mitigation and recovery plans for each aspect that may delay project deliverables.
- Manage all contractual packages under their responsibility. Draft the scope of work for contracts, estimate the budget required and define the contract schedule, control the execution and performance of contracts, the quality of deliveries, and any changes or additions to be made to the contract.
Requirements:
- Bachelor (or equivalent) in Geology or Mine Engineering.
- Master or Ph.D. in Geometallurgy, or Mineral Processing Engineer is preferred.
- Experience working with Ni Laterites and Copper Sulfide types of ore.
- Extensive experience in the study of ore geology, technological characterization and geometallurgy.
- Knowledge of Mineral Processing unit operation (crushing, grinding, sizing, flotation, dewatering and tailings management)
- Expert knowledge of metallurgical testing (bench and miniplant scale)
- Knowledge of geoestatistics and applied data analysis. Advanced knowledge on IOGAS
- Understanding of Mining engineering economics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Operational experience in mining operation or infrastructure industries.

Position: Drilling Supervisor (TPBP)

To provide drill planning support & supervision during the contracting and preparation stage of the TPBP drilling program. Mitigate STM risk profile by optimizing contractor selection for TPBP.
Accountabilities:
Provide planning, supervision of and support to the TPBP drilling operation during the planning & preparation phases including assisting the IDS contractor tender process, including technical evaluation of bidders, supervision of IDS contractor preparation, construction of well pads and access, drilling water supply. Position: Senior Project Financial Evaluation Analyst

Accountabilities:
- Ensure proper and sound financial and business evaluation of PT VEI greenfield and brownfield projects such as Hu'u and other projects in the APAC region to facilitate PT VEI study decision. The evaluation includes comprehensive identification and assessment of potential financial and tax risks, cost estimate of Capex and Opex, so that best decision can be made on the progression of studies in the portfolio.
- Responsible for ensuring capital cost and operating cost estimate are following the standard procedure and system for project planning and schedule, with proper WBS structure as stated in in SPE.
- Support Project Services to lead the coordination of preparation and submission of PT VEI study budgets.
- To be part of joint team in evaluating analysis required for Term Sheet negotiation with partners for Greenfield Project developments.
- Demonstrate to PT VEI management that all significant financial exposures have been identified and are reflected in the financial evaluation.
- Ensure the financial evaluation quality and methodology is aligned with PT VEI's policies and standards.

Purpose of the Role:
To perform purchasing and contracting activities, manage tender process, and other procurement support within the Hu'u projects.
Accountabilities:
- Perform daily contracting activities with regards to purchasing & service of materials and/or equipment requested by Users ensuring that they are processed under company's standard and norms.
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of incoming PR, adequacy of scope of work and any other appendices, develop and review RFQ, and supervises procurement process in accordance to Procurement Procedures;
- Working together with Users on reviewing the scope of work and provide guidance to ensure the scopes are meeting company's standard and norms.
- Conduct pre-qualification before preparing Request for Quotation (RFQ) or tender document.
- Studying market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials.
- Conduct analysis on Contract and PO terms (technical, commercial and legal terms).

- Selecting products/services that best fit the establishment's requirement.

- Conduct Pre-bid Meeting prior to tender submission.
- Interviewing suppliers and negotiating prices, discounts, advance payment, payment terms and transportation arrangements to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Issues PO/Contract/Lease Agreement and ensure accuracy and completeness of documents.
- Maintain and monitor PR (Purchase Requisition) and Contract in related procurement system.

Requirements:
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree on Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or another related major
- Minimum 5 years of experience - preferably from mining exploration project
- Strong knowledge & skill related to drilling/engineering study/site camp support/civil construction (FIDIC contract)
- Familiar to work with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP system
