We are seeking experienced people for the following position:
Specialist Training - Mining (926846)
(Balikpapan)
In this role, you will:
- Provide Heavy mining equipment training such as: Excavator, Bulldozer, Truck, Grader, compactor and other support equipment in construction business for Thiess personnel in order to increase the productivity, maintenance and improve personnel's capability. Including delivering effective theoretical & Practical training in accordance with Thiess standard
- Assist in the design of training material which is relevant to used competency standards
- Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found
- Provide report and feedback of training activities to site supervision and TCI
- Training & Development supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between training & development and sites
- Provide accurate report based on training report participants' data to T&D
- Provide result of training to site superintendent, site training coordinator and TCI Training & Development Supervisors and Manager
- Ensure all attained competencies are recorded in both hard and soft copy
- Conduct tests and examinations for personnel/operator
- Provide training to TCI employees & Sub Contractors in all aspects of Heavy equipment
- Develop the skills proficiency of workplace trainers and assessors
- Actively promote TCI courses to key site personnel ensuring that purpose and content of training is understood
- Plan Heavy Equipment training activities with minimal disruption to production activities in order that training facilities and resources are optimised
- Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training & support Recruitment Mining Operator activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found
- Actively involved in update/review of training handout, PowerPoint slides and written/practical assessment to TCI's regulation, Audit, investigation, customers need
What skills and experience do you need?
- Minimum Senior High School
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training (Trainer/Assessor certification by Government)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the mining industry as a heavy equipment operator
- 3-5 years' experience as a mining operations leading hand or supervisor
- Heavy Mining Equipment operator codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/ grader/wheel loader/Medium truck/Light Vehicle/Others Heavy Mining Equipment
Technical Training Developer (Contract Base - 926847)
(Balikpapan)
In this role, you will:
- Analyse and interpret national training standards from across Thiess' operational jurisdictions
- Harvest information on training and assessment practices across Thiess operations and ensure best practice is captured within training and assessment documents
- Assist projects in understanding the application of Thiess Certified Training and assessment materials
- Contribute to the development of online and classroom curriculum, training and assessment materials
- Maintain and update training and assessment materials in Thiess Learning Management System
- Provide advice on instructional/learning and curriculum improvements
- Review training and assessment materials and make recommendations for improvements for approval by global moderation team
- Maintain and provide advice and guidance on layout of master document storage system
- Maintain change management spreadsheets for training resources (change history)
- Establish and maintain minutes of moderation team meetings Establish and maintain a project schedule spreadsheet
- Develop and maintain an operational training resources improvement register
- Participate in the performance management process using the PE@T process including the creation of information performance notes in the Trakstar system
- Interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to determine training and assessment requirements and content advice
- Provide guidance to Moderation group on technical training process and content
- Engage with HSE and operational efficiency teams across Thiess to ensure Thiess Certified Training and assessment materials are aligned with the business
What skills and experience do you need?
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within the mining and/or construction industry as technical or trainer background in Mining, Plant, Safety or other technical skills
- Experience in training and delivery and assessment processes, mining experience is an advantage
- Experience in designing, reviewing and development of training and assessment resources
- Ability to research internal and external safety and training information
- Advanced computer literacy required, including intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Effective time management skills Ability to work autonomously
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- The ability to manage conflict resolution and to demonstrate resilience
- The ability to research regional legislations that applies within the mining and training industry
- Flexibility to cope with change and deadlines
- Ability to provide guidance and advice and influence where appropriate to achieve desired outcomes
