Thiess has a long journey of more than 30 years in Indonesia providing mining services for various projects and clients with head office in Jakarta and support facilities in Balikpapan including workshops and training center.

We are seeking experienced people for the following position:

 

EOI - Manager Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Operations (926844)

(Jakarta)

In this role, you will:

• Provide extensive field-based coaching for Project OHS Teams
• Coach and mentor lead investigators following significant events to accurately identify root cause and contributing factors
• Identify professional development opportunities to enhance Project OHS expertise and experience
• Provide instruction and guidance for the delivery of effective lead indicator activities
• Standardise safety programs and initiatives to ensure consistent application at all projects and support facilities
• Organise, facilitate and participate in TSE and management system audits, inspections and actively seek opportunities for improvement
• Ensure Business Plan deadline are achieved in a sustainable manner
• Achieve standardisation of safety management systems throughout areas of responsibility

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Bachelor Degree from Occupational Health and Safety
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in safety leadership positions (mandatory)
• Multi-project responsibilities (mandatory)
• Exposure to Thiess systems (preferred)
• Exposure to international (expatriate) working conditions (preferred)
• Demonstrated understanding of mining and plant operations.
• Risk management, analysis, and mitigation
• Incident investigation (ICAM)
• Auditing (ISO 45001)
• Report writing
• Computer skills (MS Suite, Synergy, JDE)
