Engineer - Short Term Planning

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1.303 km2.

Mineral Resources as of June 30, 2020, reached 7.6 million ounces of gold and 66 million ounces of silver. Production began at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is exceeds 6 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 300.000 ounces of gold and 2-3 million ounces of silver per year.

PTAR employs more than 3,000 employees and contractors, over 99% of whom are Indonesian nationals, and more than 70% of whom are recruited from local residents.

The majority shareholder in PTAR is PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara, which is owned by PT United Tractors, Tbk (60%) and PT Pamapersada Nusantara (40%), with a total share of 95%. PT United Tractors Tbk is a public company whose shares are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and also subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk. PT United Tractors, Tbk's share ownership consists of 59.50% by PT Astra International Tbk and 40.50% by the public. PT. Pamapersada Nusantara is 99.9% owned by PT United Tractors, Tbk.

To strengthen the existing Environment team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

 

ENGINEER - SHORT TERM PLANNING (MIN 2109038)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mining Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to Senior Engineer - Short Term Planning.

The Role of the Engineer - Short Term Planning is to:

• Ensure operation of contractor follow PT. AR plan and standard of Safety, Health, Environmental and Community.
• Ensure Compliance of Kepmen 1827.K/30/MEM/2018 regarding General Mining Occupational Safety and Health and related Regulations with Mining Operation during contractor operational activity.
• Assist in the short medium term planning and appropriate planning processes are in place to ensure pit operations can be carried out to deliver the required ore to the milling team.
• Monitor and manage the mining contractor, as per mining contract, effective use of plant and equipment, achievement of target tonnages.
• Management of mine operations, L&H, mine services, operational costing linked to the short and medium term mining plan.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Engineering Degree in Mining Engineering discipline with an emphasis on computer skills.
2. POP Certificate.
3. Minimum 3 years and preferably 5 years of experience in mining operations and planning, preferably at hard rock mining industry.
4. Knowledge and practical experience of related mining software, preferably Surpac
5. Well and rounded knowledge of mining operations preferably open pit hard rock mines, familiarity with drilling/blasting and projects works will be an advantage 
6. Experience on the best practice surface mining operations
7. Experience working as Production Engineering at mining contractor/contractor supervision
8. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas.
9. Competence in speaking, reading and writing English
10. Reasonable level of problem solving, hands on approach, able to motivate and lead a team
11. High level of computer literacy skills Ms. Word, Excel, Power Point.
12. High Commitment to PTAR standards in environment, safety, business ethic and good corporate governance.
13. Experience on performance Monitoring & Review and Business improvement Process is preferred.
