EOI - Supervisor Transport (926783) (GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing bus transportation (Thiess Owned buses and Vendor buses)
  • Managing roster of bus drivers to comply operational coverage
  • To lead and manage subordinates under bus transportation and GA section
  • Liaise with bus Vendor Coordinator in day to day bus vendor operational
  • Follow up and to discipline any violation to all bus drivers
  • Coordinate and maintain reliability of bus unit as per operational requirement
  • Address and to resolve any issue related operational buses ie. Bus MA,bus route, bus driver attitude, etc.
  • Managing job of Office Boy/ Girls
  • Maintaining internal operational requirement and facilities such as providing / purchase office supplies (tea, sugar, coffee, drinking water), chemical cleaning, housekeeping tools, etc.
  • Create working procedure for inspecting and maintaining facilities.
  • Maintaining complain related to office housekeeping & facilities.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Diploma or Bachelor Degree ; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as GA or Transport Supervisor in Mining Company;
  • Strong Communications skills
  • Have sufficient knowledge in services / support area and Transport Bus Management
  • IT Literacy: Word, Excel, Internet.

 

EOI - Paramedic (926784) (GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Develop and Implement Occupational Health at Site;
  • Providing medical Info for safety talk and notice board;
  • Monitoring and following up injury management, Rehabilitation and Hygiene inspection and food sanitation at catering provider then report to management;
  • Providing medical evacuation drill, Involving First Aid and Emergency Rescue Team; Conducting Training on medical first response and rescue to all team members;
  • Improving internal site medical first response and rescue team competency, oversee preparation of emergency response facilities and team;
  • Facilitating implementation of the project health and safety improvement plan.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Nursing Academy; Minimum 2 years as First Aider; Training in fire & Rescue; BLS and ATLS; Hyperkes training. Have competency and skill based on emergency response specific case; Understand about HSE standard on mining and plant activities, OHS Regulations Statutory regulations.
  • The candidate should fluent in English both oral and written, and proficient in computer literacy; strong communication both of external and internal; proactive, initiative & innovative.

 

EOI - Specialist OHS (926785) (GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Provide safety technical and system support for the Plant team.
  • Implement TCI safety Management System, processes and programs to ensure the conversation of people, property, environment and profits.
  • Establish risk assessment processes and ensure Risk Register is current, and socialised to staff.
  • Provide assistance and close out audit outcomes.
  • Develop and implement Safety Audit program for subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular audits of implementation of TCI SBO program.
  • Facilitate the investigations of significant incidents (class I and II ) to ensure investigations outcomes comply with procedure.
  • Review all investigation reports to ensure integrity of findings.
  • Ensure all incident data is entered onto Synergy and that incident action are closed out within the frame and Synergy data is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure Hazard report data is entered onto Synergy and that incident actions are closed out within time frame.
  • Ensure all project Provide Information, signs, posters, barriers and other materials to warn of hazardous or potential hazardous work environments.
  • Collect statistics and understand what that information means, and assist the Project Coordinator Safety in reporting safety statistics
  • Facilitate employee injury management and rehabilitation plans where required.
  • Monitor and implement project/ client specific program to ensure the conversation of people, property, environment and profits

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor/Diploma Degree in mining OHS and/or Environmental
  • Minimum 3 years in Mining Industries in same position
  • Demonstrate your understanding on OHS Management and environment management system

 

EOI - Supervisor Mechanic (926786) (GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • To ensure that the Maintenance Department goals are achieved MA>90 %, MTBS>60 hours Zero LTI, by following the procedures which are set up in TGS.
  • Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of equipment repairs.
  • Ensure to accurate the completion of daily breakdown report for reviewing by the Senior Supervisor before end of shift every day.
  • Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure that the correct procedures are used when breakdowns and failures troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all WOs open status have been compared with current break down equipment to make sure all WOs are controlled and closed if the job has been done.
  • Review DOOD (Daily Outstanding Operator Defect), SOS report, mechanical inspection are analysed and reviewed and also ensure it is submitted in daily complete with the part recommendation. Ensure the mechanic raises the list of part recommended accurately to address all backlog, breakdowns and planned maintenance
  • Ensure all break down machine are reported in IMTC, and all information repair description, coding, start and finish have been filled in IMTC correctly.
  • Prepare parts equipment and manpower for planned work and shutdown days, Ensure all repairs are carried out in an effective cost and timely manner.
  • Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this is included with the operator abuse.
  • Make a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring all activities are carry out according to the work procedures in the TMS, JSEAs are relevant and all hazards are controlled.
  • Ensure that there is no impact for the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring that the procedures in the TGS are followed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and make sure subordinate understand of our objectives and Thiess policies, and address all safety information to crew.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Minimum Senior High School / Technical High School
  • 6 Year experience in mechanical repair and supervisor in the mining industry. Planning of mechanical repair.
  • People handling skill diagnostic skills in all aspects of electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • First aid, Incident Investigation.
  • Repair and maintain medium and heavy duty equipment.

 

EOI - Supervisor Mining (926539) (GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • To co-ordinate all and Leading Hand in the workplace Activity and Coordinated the all crews activity to achieve production target with safety condition, Safe environment, and Safe for Everyone in workplace Area
  • Achieve daily targets of machine utilization for their area and ensure that crews are achieving productivity target for their area
  • Lead the Leading hand crew in team to ensure that the team achieves objectives
  • To meet with Senior Supervisor dan Superintendent to discuss previous shift & to plan next shift at least one hour prior to start of shift. Including R&R and shift change rosters, check for fast, efficient shift change and make sure it is a complete account of what happened during the shift
  • To take disciplinary action if an employee breaches company regulation swift action, especially on safety violations is most important. Company procedures must be followed & action taken recorded
  • Can be backup activity in Coal and Project team as per delegate from management.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Senior High School or Degree in Mining/Civil Engineering is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as Supervisor Mining in large open cut mining operation;
  • Mining heavy industry experience is essential; could operate mining equipment;
  • Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) certification at Mine and Energy Department; be able to work on shift roster (day and night shift)

 

EOI - Supervisor Planning (Plant) (926787) (Melak)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Contribute to TCI Plant Objective through effective management of Plant Planning engineering.
  • Manage planning to ensure compliance to TCI Process and procedure.
  • Drive compliance to planning objectives and procedures with plant operations.
  • Promote a continuous improvement environment by indentifying and proposing improvements to current business process to achieve plant cost and performance gains.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Applicants should have a minimum Min tertiary degree or higher from Mechanical Engineer Background
  • 5 years' experience in Engineering/Operational/Costing
  • Extensive mechanical trade experience
  • Extensive Planning / Engineering Experience
  • Exposure to maintenance management systems and philosphies
  • Familiar with component cost / budget analysis

 

Specialist Technology and System (926668) (Balikpapan)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Providing support in managing Fleet Management on shift base, being part with dispatcher to make sure the objectives given effective follow to support mining operation
  • Managing a good relationship with Mining Operation in providing Mining Information for Operational Decision during shift
  • Monitor progress of tasks to meet business priorities
  • Accurate and timely entry of data
  • Produce monthly and AdHoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate processes and reconciliations within the mining technology
  • Promote adherence to FMS process's by project personnel
  • Identify areas where site personnel may require further training
  • Identify areas where team members may require further training
  • Provide preliminary systems support and informal training to project personnel
  • Troubleshoot system issues and escalate as required
  • Providing performance of accuracy of measurements, calculations, and data integrity level in any aspects especially of Dispatcher mining systems

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor in Engineering
  • 1-3 years experience in Fleet Management System (FMS)
  • Has capability as Dispatcher
  • Good understanding on Coal Mining or Other Mineral Mining Operation
  • Good Leadership and Communication Skill
  • Good Knowledge of Fleet Management Systems (preferable Jigsaw)

Officer Training (926772) (Balikpapan)

Some of your duties will include:

  • To conduct training and assessment for off Highway truck modules CAT 785, CAT 777 and Komatsu HD 785 on driving simulator
  • Carry out all maintenance tasks on Electrical, Electronic, electro-optical and mechanical equipment associated with the operation with the TCI driving simulator in order to contribute to the increase in safety, productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of Thiess Off Highway truck operators
  • Coach and conduct site based operators in the access to, and the use of, TCI truck multimedia training CD-ROMS on CAT 789, CAT 785, CAT 777, and Komatsu HD 785 and others mining equipment simulator program
  • Actively promote TCI courses to key site personnel ensuring that purpose and content of training is understood
  • Ensure all assessments are recorded in both hard and soft copy
  • Conduct tests and examinations as requested by superiors
  • Actively involve in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when non compliance found
  • Actively involve in update/review of training handout, PowerPoint slides, and written/practical assessment to TCI's TGS regulation, audit, investigation, customers need

  • Provide accurate report based on training report participants' data to T&D admin training in order to assist in database improvement
  • Provide result of training to Site Superintendent, Site Training Coordinator, and TCI Training & Development Supervisors and Manager
  • Conduct assessment activities in accordance with TCI TGS and relevant competency standards
  • Ensure all attained competencies are recorded in both hard and soft copy
  • Conduct tests and examinations for personnel/operator
  • Provide training to TCI employees & Sub Contractors in all aspects of heavy equipment

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Senior High School/Vocational School, IT background, certificate IV in workplace training (Trainer/Assessor certification by Government)
  • 3-5 years experience as haul truck operator and other mining equipment
  • Heavy mining equipment operatorcodes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader/medium truck/light vehicle/other heavy mining equipment
  • IT literacy (software and hardware)

 

Specialist Training CRC (926773) (Contract Based - Balikpapan)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Provide training to TCI employees and CRC team in all aspects of mechanical in order to increase productivity, maintenance and improve personnel's capability, including delivering effective theoretical & practical training in accordance with Thiess standard
  • Assist in the design of training material which is relevant to used competency standards;
  • Provide report and feedback of training activities to CRC supervision and TCI Training & Development Supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between Training & Development and CRC
  • Develop, Implement & control the Job Skills Proficiency Logbooks for the CRC technicians ( Engine and/or Powertrain Component Rebuild)
  • Actively manage the CRC dept employee skills matrix and work with both training and HR dept's to keep this current.
  • Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found;
  • Provide accurate report based on training report participants' data to Plant Training in order to assist in database improvement
  • Provide result of training to Superintendent CRC, Superintendent Plant Training and CRC Manager

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Heavy earth moving equipment technical codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training
  • Experience as Trainer of Engine assemble & Powertrain assemble at least 5 years
  • Minimum of 7 years experience within the mining industry as heavy equipment tradesman

 

EOI - Superintendent Plant Operations (Toka Tindung)

Some of your duties will include:

  • To ensure that the maintenance department goals are achieved, by following the procedures set out in the TGS.
  • Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of equipment repairs.
  • Ensure that all area supervisors accurately complete daily breakdown reports, supervisors shift report, PCR's for submission the planning and administration before 8am every day. Ensure accurate breakdown hours information is provided
  • Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure correct procedures used when troubleshooting breakdowns and failures
  • Review operator's checklist summary and mechanical inspection sheets, ensure submission to planning department with repair and parts recommendation. Ensure supervisors and mechanic raise recommended parts lists accurately to address all known work, breakdowns, and planned maintenance
  • Planning and coordination of shut down work in cooperation with planning department. Ensure all repairs are carried out in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this includes operator abuse
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employee by ensure all activities are carry out according to the work procedures in the TGS and the project management plan
  • Ensure that there is no impact on the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring that the procedures in the TGS and Site Management plan are followed
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Mechanical Engineer or Ex Apprentice with minimum 15 years' experience in mining equipment maintenance;
  • Requires a minimum 5 years' experience in similar managerial role as Senior Superintendent Plant Operations;
  • Understanding the heavy plant business; knowledge in OEM products in Heavy Equipment; handling diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical and auto electrical heavy equipment repairs; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision;
  • Mechanic experience on Thiess Heavy Equipment e.g. Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi; Drills, Pump, Coal Hauling and Lifting Equipment.
  • Knowledge of welding procedures;
  • IT Literacy; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written;

  • Ensure time sheet plant manpower recorded and summited correctly and timelines.
  • To ensure planning department goals are achieved in component Management.
  • Review, update and correct all component backlog work orders in JDE for your designated machines.
  • Ensuring all authorized components has a work order raised with an appropriate planned date (Schedule Start Date).

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Tertiary degree in mechanical engineering or Thiess apprentice or extensive crane related experience

Some of your duties will include:

  • To co-ordinate all mining supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area.
  • Ensure the selection of projects that match objectives of Business Plan by ensuring risks in tender and contract conditions are recognised and accounted for.
  • Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations including daily, short to long term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed production targets.
