TRADESPERSON ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION - FIXED PLANT

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1.303 km2.

Mineral Resources as of June 30, 2020, reached 7.6 million ounces of gold and 66 million ounces of silver. Production began at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is exceeds 6 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 300.000 ounces of gold and 2-3 million ounces of silver per year.

PTAR employs more than 3,000 employees and contractors, over 99% of whom are Indonesian nationals, and more than 70% of whom are recruited from local residents.

The majority shareholder in PTAR is PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara, which is owned by PT United Tractors, Tbk (60%) and PT Pamapersada Nusantara (40%), with a total share of 95%. PT United Tractors Tbk is a public company whose shares are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and also subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk. PT United Tractors, Tbk’s share ownership consists of 59.50% by PT Astra International Tbk and 40.50% by the public. PT. Pamapersada Nusantara is 99.9% owned by PT United Tractors, Tbk.

To strengthen the existing maintenance management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for a candidate to fill the role:

TRADESPERSON ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION – FIXED PLANT (PRO 2103011)

This position will be based at Martabe Site, and reports directly to the Supervisor Electrical & Instrumentation.

The role of the Tradesperson Electrical & Instrumentation is to provide ‘hands-on’ support for the Electrical / Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisors, so as to ensure that the maintenance, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the E&I maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s electrical & instrumentation plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to. Close interaction with your peers in the Electrical / Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process and Metallurgical teams as well as Maintenance Planning and Warehouse personnel will be crucial to the overall success of your role.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Electrical qualifications
2. Experience in similar Electrical Tradesperson positions within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
3. Experience with electrical & instrumentation installation methods and practices, maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes.
4. Ability to interpret electrical schematic & single line drawings.
5. Good understanding of world class mining standards
6. Good understanding of associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM)
7. Desirable with a Senior First Aid qualification..
8. Having Switching certificate and switching operations.
9. Possess a valid recognized Driver’s license. 
10. Electrical Construction & Commissioning of Mineral Processing Plant
11. Basic understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
12. Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.
13. Good knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
14. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions, prepare reports and maintain accurate records, and demonstrate ‘Safe Working Procedures’ to subordinates.
15. Hands on knowledge of Pronto or similar CMMS software.
16. The ability to act alone in a safe, professional and workman like manner, in a team environment.
17. Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal in English).
18. Pays high level of attention to standard and detail, be self-motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude, and have the ability to prioritize workload and work effectively under pressure.
