Martabe Gold Mine 2021

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1.303 km2.

The resource based on 31 December 2018 includes 8.1 Moz of Gold and 69 Moz of Silver, with economic ore reserves of 4.5Moz gold and 34Moz silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 5.9Mtpa ore to produce in excess of 350,000 oz of Gold and 2-3 Moz of Silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,600 employees and contractors which more than 70 % have been recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) is the majority shareholder of PT Agincourt Resources with a total 95% of the shareholding. The shareholders of PTDTN are PT United Tractors Tbk 60% and PT Pamapersada Nusantara 40%. These companies are part of the PT Astra International Tbk group. The 5% share ownership is owned by the Government of South Tapanuli Regency and North Sumatra Province (local governments). 

To strengthen the existing maintenance management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

 

MECHANICAL BOILERMAKER (PRO 2101005)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department, and reports directly to Mechanical Shift Supervisor.

The Role of Mechanical Boilermaker is to provide specialist ‘hands-on’ support for the Mechanical Supervisors, so as to ensure that all rebuild and plant maintenance components, modifications, servicing, and installation activities are carried out as per maintenance schedule, and in a safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient, and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s equipment & apparatus being attended to.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Welder / Boilermaker qualifications.
2. Specialist training welding such as TIG, MMAW, Oxy cutting, Plasma cutting, Hard Facing and Measuring
3. Minimum Experience 3 years in Boilermaker Welding maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
4. A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM)
5. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
6. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
7. Interpretation of engineering / mechanical drawings.
8. Ability to demonstrate ‘Safe Working Procedures’ to subordinates.
9. The ability to act alone and make discretionary decisions in a safe, professional and workman like manner.
10. Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
11. Pays a high level of attention to standard and detail.
12. The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
13. Is highly motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude.

 

JUNIOR METALLURGIST (PRO 2101003)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Metallurgy) Department, and reports directly to Plant Metallurgist.

Role of this position is you will assist to monitor and report on all aspects of plant performance. Provide technical and operational support to the Operations Team to ensure that all metallurgical parameters and control strategies in the process plant are achieving design parameters with particular emphasis on safety and environment, productivity, quality and cost.

Support the data entry clerk to complete timely metallurgy reports include the daily, weekly, and monthly report. Assist development of technicians within metallurgical laboratory and in the processing plant for the daily activities or survey campaign to monitor the plant performance.

Bullion weighing in the gold room and shipment arrangement will also be your responsible; managing the shipment date work with the refinery fitting the schedule, execution of shipment from site to the refinery, and other task related to shipments.

This position is to develop new graduate to mineral processing industry and improve technical skill that will support metallurgy team. This position will develop their skill from the plant metallurgist and senior metallurgist.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Bachelor Degree in either Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
2. Good knowledge in production metallurgical role within the resource sector.
3. Have knowledge in crushing, milling process, CIL/CIP gold processing.
4. Very good verbal and written English language skills.
5. Knowledge of the methods, tools raw materials, and technology used in the metallurgical processing environment.
6. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
7. Ability to manage the work of metallurgical technicians on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
8. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
9. An understanding of the production flow sheet of a CIL Process Plant.
10. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet
11. Superior work ethic.
