We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

 

Superintendent Plant - Aux & Medium Truck (926629)

(GBU Coal Mine Project)

In this role you will:

• To ensure that the Maintenance Department goals are achieved MA>90 %, MTBS>60 hours Zero LTI, by following the procedures which are set up in TGS.
• Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues and prioritizing of the equipment repairs.
• Ensure that all Supervisors to complete accurately the daily breakdown report, Supervisor Shift report, mechanical inspection complete with the part required to address all known work, breakdown and planned Maintenance are submitted to Planning and Admin every day. Ensure that all Supervisors complete the accurate breakdown hours and repair information.
• Ensure that daily maintenance schedule and refueling are carried out in safe and monitored.
• Review tyre report that needs to be controlled properly.
• Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure that the correct procedures are used when breakdowns and failures troubleshooting.
• Planning and Coordination of shutdown work in cooperation with Planning Department. Ensure all repairs are carried out in and effective cost and timely manner.
• Investigation and reporting of all incidents damaged to all equipment in the field and associated area, this is included for the operator abuse.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring all activities are carried out according to the work procedures in the TMS and GBU Project Management Plan.
• Ensure that there is no impact for the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring the procedures in the TMS and GBU Management Plan are in place.
• Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in safe, timely and cost effective manner.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Maintenance Trade/ Engineering Degree level qualifications.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least one or 3 years in Mechanical repair/service supervision/ management role.
• Be able to communicate well, be able to disciple people
• Logical thinking
• People handling skill diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical repairs
• Basic computer skill
• First aid
• Mechanic experience on Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Coal hauling and lifting equipment
• Knowledge of welding procedures

 

Senior Supervisor Auto Electric (926633)

(GBU Coal Mine Project)

Some of your duties will include:

• To apply Thiess Governance System and plant procedures within the work force in relation to safety/environment, maintenance planning, recording/registering, quality of workmanship, leadership & organize of workshop personnel.
• To plan and coordinate the shutdown, repair and service of equipment according to TGS Plant Department policies and procedures to ensure availability targets and budget are achieved.
• Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results.
• Plan and co-ordinate an effective repair and service of equipment to achieve department goal by availability 90%, MTBS 60 hours and MTTR 6 hours.
• Reduce unnecessary expenditure and costs in order to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability in all areas within the Plant Department.
• Ensure cost effective by reduce the down time and rework.
• Give support to your direct reports, in counselling and disciplinary matters
• Acknowledge and encourage good performance and loyalty to the company
• Resolve personal issues relating to the field and workshop crews

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School / Technical High School
• Minimum 5 years in Electrical Supervision
• People handling skill diagnostic skills in all aspects of electrical repairs.
• Electrical repair experience in Auto Electric including HV & HVAC electric system
• Delegation of responsibilities; Maximising performance; Computer literacy

 

Supervisor Mechanic - Big Digger (926390)

(GBU Coal Mine Project)

Some of your duties will include;

• To ensure that the Maintenance Department goals are achieved MA>90 %, MTBS>60 hours Zero LTI, by following the procedures which are set up in Company Management System.
• Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of equipment repairs.
• Ensure to accurate the completion of daily breakdown report for reviewing by the Senior Supervisor before end of shift every day.
• Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required. Ensure that the correct procedures are used when breakdowns and failures troubleshooting.
• Ensure all WOs open status have been compared with current break down equipment to make sure all WOs are controlled and closed if the job has been done.
• Review DOOD (Daily Outstanding Operator Defect), SOS report, mechanical inspection are analysed and reviewed and also ensure it is submitted in daily complete with the part recommendation. Ensure the mechanic raises the list of part recommended accurately to address all backlog, breakdowns and planned maintenance.
• Ensure all break down machine are reported in OCDC, and all information repair description, coding, start and finish have been filled in OCDC correctly.
• Prepare parts equipment and manpower for planned work and shutdown days, Ensure all repairs are carried out in an effective cost and timely manner.
• Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this is included with the operator abuse.
• Ensure all the disciplinary actions are issued as required in accordance with the GBU Mine Regulations.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School, Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Trade Specialist is preferred; requires a minimum 3 years professional experience in similar role as Senior Supervisor Mechanic with relevant qualification in Mechanical & Auto Electrical HE Repair and Plant Supervision in mining industry, planning of daily shut down schedule and breakdown repair; mechanical & auto electrical repair experience in experience in Big Digger unit : Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi ; handling diagnostic skill in all aspects of electrical repairs;
• Repair and maintain medium and heavy duty equipment
• Have a certain capacity of communication with supervision and mechanic

 

Supervisor Mechanic - Auxiliary & Medium Truck (926389)

(GBU Coal Mine Project)

Some of your duties will include;

• Ensure that the maintenance department goals are achieved
• Ensure work safely and follow all work place safety procedures
• Organize subordinate for job execution as per plan & supervisor direction
• Ensure daily job execution is followed as per supervisor or superintendent instruction
• Perform scheduled & unscheduled mechanical job
• Ensure all jobs are reported to Info mine for input into OCDC and monitoring of machine status
• Initiative asking about job to supervisor, communicate to supervisor or inspector for daily basis
• Prepare paper work related to daily work execution (area inspection, PRF, safety target etc.)
• Analyze faults and repairs to the machine; Work towards minimizing DOOD and equipment down time
• Ensure all mechanical inspections and failure reports are carried out correctly
• Ensure all parts are ordered correctly and followed up accordingly
• Maintain good communication between mechanics, leading hands and supervisors
• Ensure all defect are carried out and close all WO's open if all job has been done
• Make hand over job clearly to shift Leading hand

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School, Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Trade Specialist is preferred; requires a minimum 3 years professional experience in similar role as Supervisor Mechanic with relevant qualification in Mechanical & Auto Electrical HE Repair and Plant Supervision in mining industry, planning of daily shut down schedule and breakdown repair; mechanical & auto electrical repair experience in experience in Truck/Dozer/Grader unit : Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi ; handling diagnostic skill in all aspects of electrical repairs;
• Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; able to work under pressure are preferred character traits;

 

Supervisor Lifting & Logistic (926627)

(GBU Coal Mine Project)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to manage all activities in site Supply Chain Warehouse , especially in the absence of Supply Chain Senior Supervisor
• To ensure that all materials issued from store must be traceable using MRF , correct part number and cost code completed with approval as signature specimen
• Coordinate and do monitoring all warehouse activities to ensure the correct location , stock store level maintenance .Monitoring fuel and oil issuing - ensure all running well .Stock take result target must reach minimum 95%
• Ensure process of receipting and dispatching inventory are following Thiess procedure .Site warehouse ensure all document match with physical item .NCR immediately issued if not match
• Ensure Site Expeditor is taking on the role of following up outstanding order .Plant team daily updated with P1 item status.
• Take part and controlling all Supply Chain monitoring report and fix the discrepancy (APWF - GRNV)
• Responsible to monitor the issue at Supply Chain warehouse and provide an immediate strong corrective actions
• Responsible to maintain continuous improvement - achieve KPI targets and set up achievable yearly target
• Co-ordinate staff to work safely, productively, efficiently and effectively as an integrated team
• Lead, demonstrate and educate the employees to embrace a work environment free from discrimination, where everyone is included and treated with respect

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School or University Degree
• Minimum 4 Year Experience in Warehouse Environment Working area
• Computer, JDE Data Base, and site regulation, Knowledge about leadership and interpersonal, Communication skills, Building relationships, planning and organising

 

Senior Engineer Mine Planning (926660)

Some of your duties will include:

• Provide technical design and support for mining engineering activities so as to maximize productivities in the most cost effective and efficient manner, while ensuring a safe professional environment is maintained;
• Provide daily advice to production personnel on the required direction of mining to achieve scheduled sequences and targets;
• To plan and set up total required equipment and production schedule to satisfy client's demand
• To produce detailed required equipment in mining scheduling report;
• To produce a map for more permanent area of support facilities;
• To ensure a proper reserving and scheduling with using mining software;
• To produce an optimized required equipment to achieve a better profit with using mining software;
• To ensure agreed mine scheduling/ planning followed by mining operation;
• To communicate mine scheduling/ planning issues to mining operation.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mine Engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience in large open cut mining and mine engineering;
• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & mining methods, operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements;
• Proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilizing software such as Minescape, Xpac and Talpac will be an advantage;
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and focus on detail;
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.

 

EOI -  Engineer Mine Planning (926661)

Some of your duties will include:

• Assist to the Senior Engineer Long Term or Technical Management Representative to develop, implement and evaluate Technical Service Management, plans and programs to Thiess standard, client requirement and ISO standar;
• Assist to Senior Long Term Engineer to set up the project production target, controlling and monitoring the progress in related to client's requirement;
• Provide the technical mine design, scheduling, monitoring function and data analysis for the mining operation by ensuring maximum productivities, coal recovery in the most cost effective safe manner, providing competent and professional long term mine planning;
• Involve as part of team member to implement the OHS and Quality as per government and Thiess standard.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mining Engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience in open pit coal mining operation, previous experience at a mine site preferred and minimum 3 years' experience in similar role as Engineer Mine Planning/ Long Term;
• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements; proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilising software such as Minescape, Xpac, Talpac will be an advantage; possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test);
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical, responsible and adaptable; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.
