SENIOR QUALITY CONTROL

Descriptions

1. Develop welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles
2. Maintain operation of the Quality Control on workshop operation by providing technical guidance and expertise in the field of welding and fabrications to meet the requirements of international code/standards and client contract specification.
3. Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production process.
4. Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspection to ensure workers’ compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions and standard: in testing welds for conformance with international code requirements: or testing welding personnel! for certification's.
5. Contact personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas, information or offer technical advice concerning welding matters. May perform experimental welding evaluate new equipment, techniques, and material.
6. Maintain the selection & calculation of welding filler materials and guidance for procurement of welding machines and consumables.
7. Undertake analyzing high weld repairs and giving guidance for improvements to reduce the repair rates, Provide Training to the new welders in different materials as per company requirements.
8. Attend production QC meetings ensuring Company quality requirements are fully discussed.
9. Supervise a team of Quality Control, welding, and NDT Inspectors and ensure that Project Quality Plans are prepared, implemented and adhered to throughout the production process cycle,
10. Supervise staff for reporting, recording and inspection actives
11. Supervise staff for the marking, checking, inspection, identify of raw material activates to meet quality standards.
12. Participate in the development and maintenance of Raw Material, Work-In-Process and Finished Goods Inventory information, rework and failure analysis.
13. Ensure that product which does not conform t product requirements is identified and controlled to prevent its unintended release for delivery

General Requirements

1. Degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering
2. At least 4 years of experience in a plate fabrication, offshore , or 2 years at the same capacity: welding and NDT, structural fabrication, pipe/pipeline fabrication, assembly, and flange management, coatings (preferable)
3. Having knowledge in materials and property and having knowledge in the field of welding and heavy fabrication, welding and international Codes and Standards.
4. Having knowledge and experience in writing procedures, Reading & Interpreting drawing and Standards.
5. Strong manufacturing background in plate and/or mining equipment manufacturing, Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills
6. Proficient communication in English & Bahasa Indonesia fluency in verbal and writing is a mandatory
7. Willing to be permanently relocate to Batam Island- Indonesia and willing to do business traveling
8. A detail oriented person, KPI, process driven and highly organized, possess strong leadership and good communication skill
9. Ability to fit in to an international dynamic and multi- cultural environment and applicable for Indonesia Citizen
