In Indonesia, KS Orka is currently the majority owner of two geothermal development companies; one of them is 240 MW PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power and currenity has achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) of unit 1 and are looking for proficient and highly motivated individual.

Wellsite Geologist

LOCATION : Mandailing Natal, North Sumatera

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Check, collate and interpret data from rock cuttings and drilling operation parameters
• Compare data gathered with predictions made
• Develop daily and post-well reports to operation geologist, advisor geologist and management at Jakarta Office
• Supervise core logging and image logging
• Evaluate offset data before the start of drilling and predicting drilling hazards
• Actively liaise and provide advice to personnel (such as DSV, mud loggers, Drilling Engineers) at the drilling site

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelor Degree majoring in Geological Engineering from reputable University with minimum GPA 3.00
• Having min. 2 years’ experiences as Wellsite Geologist, preferable has experience in Geothermal Industry
• Have a good working knowledge of drilling engineering, direction drilling, geo steering, mud engineering, mudlogging, logging whilst drilling, measurement whilst drilling and wireline logging
• Familiar with Wellsite Geologist application such as Starter
• Good computer literacy in word-processing and spreadsheet software, such as Ms. Word & Excel
• Proficient in English both oral and written
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Having strong analytical skill
• High motivation, good team work and able to work independently
• Willing to be located in our Project Site at Mandailing Natal with roster schedule
