Engineering Superintendent
Job Description
Monitor and review in preparation and implementation Project Execution Plan, analyse, and create Problem solving through different operational problems, and develop process or standard based on organization needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experiences as Project Engineering
- Proven track record of performing a Project Engineers role in projects in the Mineral sector that also encompasses a multi-cultural workforce with the use of International Subcontractors
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction management principles and practices. Must possess an in depth knowledge of the Engineering and Design process as well as extensive experience in construction methods
- Willing to work extended hours to meet with Project deadlines
- Required to work onsite in extreme remote areas with limited facilities
- Requires multitasking capabilities (project engineering, scheduling, budgeting, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor in preparation and implementation of PEP (Project Execution Plan)
- Set objective and timeline of the project; calculates time frames and sequences the stages of the project
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Review a TQ status report to track all TQ’s
- Review overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s’ performance) and report regularly on project status
- Keeps an accurate record and electronic database of all elements of the projects
- Monitor report review of entire project for continuity and completeness daily, weekly, and/or monthly
- Ensuring all procedures and documentation are submitted to the Client for review and approval in a timely manner
- Monitor with all project related personnel on day-to-day progress
- Create the problem solving pattern and implement the solution in any situation which is similar or different objects
- Develop new products, standard, process or operational plans in support organization business
- Convince external & internal parties to accept complete proposal or programs which will implement
- Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
Project Planner (Head Office)
Job Description
Create and develop a schedule of work activities for a Project which clearly shows the work breakdown structure, critical path activities, progress earned to date and programme to completion.
Requirements:
- Min Bachelor Degree of Engineering
- Min 3 years experiences as Planner/Scheduler
- Knowledge of best practices in project control and scheduling
- Ability to design and calculate cost of a project
- Ability to establish policies and procedures
- Familiar with project management and project resources ( Labour, Material and Plant )
- Ability to evaluate program effectiveness
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop and maintain effective monitoring and control mechanism
- Knowledge of Primavera Project Planner (P3) and associated software and demonstrated competence in producing effectively formatted schedules and reports (preferably certified with Primavera)
- Willing to work extended hours as required
- Schedule Variance Analysis
- Gant Chart Preparation
Responsibilities:
- Develop procedure for design and construction project management scheduling, including coding, resources allocation equipment, manpower resources & material deliverables for construction schedules
- Plan and organize work program; establish and monitor controls to evaluate unit performance; take appropriate action to correct performance and to adjust programs to meet requirements (P6 / MS Project Maintained)
- Analyse and interpret schedules prepared by outside consultants and contractors, merger them into a single composite master schedule, which is summarized, as required, for various levels of use
- Establish and maintain effective means of coordinating unit plans and schedule with other organization units; report delays and problem promptly and take appropriate actions to maintain effective coordination of activities; ensure that unit activities do not conflict with organization goals
- Assist in the analysis of claim, utilizing schedule information and capabilities of the scheduling system to provide accurate picture of project activities events / Daily Monitoring Activity Sheets
- Develop plans to meet unexpected situation, new developments and changes in the business environment; prepare for emergencies; anticipate events; understand the factors and conditions effecting the organization and respond appropriate when these change
- Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements
- Preparing progress S-Curve for weekly & monthly dash board
Senior Electrical Estimator (Head Office)
Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates the Company can have confidence in, all in accordance with Company procedures and accepted good practice for the industry. Actively assist the Estimating Team to continually enhance estimating procedures and processes. Actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
- Min. 5 years working experiences, with minimum 2 years as an estimator. Preferably has experience in material handling, infrastructure, and marine works. May require local & overseas travel for site visits as well as occasional short term assignments to work in other Petrosea offices, partners offices etc.
- Overtime working will be required from time to time
- May require acting as a Lead Estimator and/or Bid Manager May require to be rotated as a Project Engineer on site once Petrosea can secure the project.
- Strong background in technical aspect of project site supervision, technical standard, method of work, calculation, and preferably also in design work
- Computer Literate (Ms. Office), MS Project, preferably also AutoCAD, Primavera.
Responsibilities:
- Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Attend site visit and prepare detailed report of existing local conditions, available facilities and technical capabilities.
- Review and monitor Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice. Sufficient explanatory notes are to be included referring the location of supplementary information.
- Review and monitor that a comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Package is sent only to Company Approved Subcontractors for any “major subcontract” work. Terms and conditions of the Subcontract Package must be back to back with the head contract. Comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Packages to be reviewed by all Division functional departments.
- Review and monitor Subcontractor responses are properly evaluated and the results tabulated on a Subcontractor Bid Evaluation spreadsheet.
- Analyses and recommend (with the Bid Manager and Lead Estimator) the “big ticket” items in the Estimate and proactively works on these with the bid team with a value added outcome as the aim.
- Analyses benchmarking productivities to be applied to the Estimate against recognized industry norms. The productivity uplift/discount shall be shown separately for each bill item in the estimate.
- Prepare evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to Company. R&O Matrix is to serve as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the Cost Estimate.
- Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materials
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work; price work items
- Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process.
- Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
