We are currently taking applicants for the following position:

 

ENGINEERING MANAGER

(Assignment: Head Office)

 Direct and control the engineering function by providing leadership and support to the people in Engineering department to ensure that schedules, budgets and man hours are achieved comply with company and client standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Min. Bachelor degree preferably in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Min. 8 years previous experiences in Engineering.
  • Strong capability/exposure to engineering software.
  • Good understanding of optimum cost and revenue.
  • Strong capability in analytical skill.
  • Good in leadership, communication, and negotiation skill.
  • Proficient in both Indonesia and English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop strategy in Engineering function in order to achieve and enhance quality performance in the Engineering function.
  • Develop and communicate business unit’s policies and standards to ensure that the technological advancement in engineering supports the business plans of the company.
  • Review and control of all engineering work including project development, staff assignment and the application of engineering principles throughout the company to ensure all engineering activities are comply with current procedures and regulations.
  • Develop, manage and control the capital budget for the business unit in order to ensure budget efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintains effective work relationship within the department, the company and the community, and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities to achieve good working relation between office members and active training environment.
  • Monitor and review the quotation, initiation, scheduling and coordination of developmental activities for engineering project to ensure project effectiveness.
  • Establish, review and communicate timely report for internal and external purpose in order to ensure accurate and reliable report in timely manner.
  • Performs administrative supervisory tasks including evaluating employee performance, source necessary skills and resources based on manpower forecasts to provide managerial supports in administrative matters.

 

ESTIMATING MANAGER

(Assignment: Head Office)

Manage and lead the process of estimation across all disciplines in the company from tender preparation to the actual implementation and ensure that all estimates are built up in accurate, reliable, and systematically conform to company’s procedures and current situation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree preferably in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experiences as estimator/Lead Estimator
  • May require local & overseas travel for site visits as well as occasional short term assignments to work in other Petrosea/Indika offices, partners’ offices etc.
  • Overtime working will be required from time to time
  • May require acting as Estimating Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages estimate preparation and submission
  • Organize and facilitate the review and approval of proposals
  • Ensure quality, integrity and accuracy of all proposals
  • Allocation of resources (estimating & proposal) for tender preparation
  • Prepare and review tender budget and monitor actual and planned expenditure
  • Develop resource utilization plans
  • Complete Tender Document Executive Summary Form
  • Sign off the Final Review packs
  • Coordinates the completion of all required tender deliverables, submission text and attachments
  • Review of accuracy of cost estimates
  • Development of and maintenance of estimating norms and databases
  • Development and maintenance of competitor analysis
  • Quantify risk/opportunity matrix
  • Provide monthly estimating & Proposal report
  • Estimating and Proposal Team Management
  • Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.

 

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER (EARTHWORK)

(Assignment: Head Office)

Monitor, control and supervise all civil engineering works, produce accurate and complex engineering calculations and documents to ensure all output are accurate, consistent and in a timely manner conform to International Engineering and Safety Standards and codes.

Requirements:

  • Proficient using Civil Engineering Software (Terramodel)
  • Experienced in Earthwork and Road Project
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experiences in Civil Engineering
  • Work extended hours to meet Engineering deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review all civil work and document to ensure all work adheres to international Engineering standards and codes as well as company’s management system
  • Prepare and conduct complex Civil Engineering calculations in order to produce calculations of consistent accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze specifications, basis of design, and engineering reports in order to produce documents of consistent accuracy
  • Prepare and evaluate RFQ (Request for Quotations) packages and conduct TBE (Technical Bid Evaluations) in order to ensure RFQ’s and TBE’s accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor and review the preparation of CTR’s (Contribution to Ratios) and provide input into scheduling in order to ensure CTR’s accuracy
  • Monitor and control the preparation of civil engineering drawing reports to ensure all reports are accurate and in a timely manner
  • Operate and control civil engineering software packages and evaluate output (Terramodel) to suggesting changes and improvement where needed
  • Provide technical support and technical guidance to associate engineer and personnel in order to conduct transfer of knowledge.

 

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

(Assignment: Head Office)

Prepare detailed cost estimates the Company can have confidence in, all in accordance with Company procedures and accepted good practice for the industry. Actively assist the Estimating Team to continually enhance estimating procedures and processes. Actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years working experiences, with minimum 2 years as an estimator, preferably  has experience in material handling, infrastructure, and marine works
  • May require local & overseas travel for site visits as well as occasional short term assignments to work in other Petrosea offices, partners offices etc.
  • Overtime working will be required from time to time
  • May require acting as a Lead Estimator and/or Bid Manager
  • May require to be rotated as a Project Engineer on site once Petrosea can secure the project
  • Strong background in technical aspect of project site supervision, technical standard, method of    work, calculation, and preferably also in design work
  • Computer Literate (Ms. Office), MS Project, preferably also AutoCAD, Primavera.

Responsibilities:

  • Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Attend site visit and prepare detailed report of existing local conditions, available facilities and technical capabilities
  • Review and monitor Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice. Sufficient explanatory notes are to be included referring the location of supplementary information
  • Review and monitor that a comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Package is sent only to Company Approved Subcontractors for any “major subcontract” work. Terms and conditions of the Subcontract Package must be back to back with the head contract. Comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Packages to be reviewed by all Division functional departments. 
  • Review and monitor Subcontractor responses are properly evaluated and the results tabulated on a Subcontractor Bid Evaluation spreadsheet
  • Analyses and recommend (with the Bid Manager and Lead Estimator) the “big ticket” items in the Estimate and proactively works on these with the bid team with a value added outcome as the aim
  • Analyses benchmarking productivities to be applied to the Estimate against recognized industry norms. The productivity uplift/discount shall be shown separately for each bill item in the estimate.
  • Prepare evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to Company. R&O Matrix is to serve as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the Cost Estimate
  • Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materials
  • Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work; price work items
  • Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process
  • Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.

 

PROJECT CONTROL MANAGER

(Assignment: Head Office)

Direct and control the project management team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems to ensure that all project management activities are well manage, conform with budget and company’s regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor degree in any disciplines
  • Min. 7 years experiences as cost controller, scheduler, project control and 2 years experiences in managerial
  • Fluent with project control programs such as PRISM, WBS, Primavera (P6) etc.
  • Strong leadership
  • Good analytical thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor Project Cost Engineer & Planner in the development of Project Budgets, Schedule and Estimates to ensure all project activities are well delivered, on schedule and conform to company’s procedures
  • Monitor and coordinate the creation / modification of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements in order to ensure budget conformity
  • Monitor and analyze project schedule progress and performance in order to identify developing problem areas
  • Review and analyze critical path and restrains to determine the effect of change to the schedule
  • Provide advice to top management of risks that may affect project profit, cost, schedules and client relations in order to develop and deliver the company’s further plan
  • Coordinate and liaise with construction project controls personnel in developing Project Controls Information (construction schedules, cost) in order to integrate data into the overall project cost & schedule reports
  • Develop and maintain of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports (include labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis, Cost Performance Reports (CPR) and earned value curves reports on either direct or indirect engineering/construction activities) in order to keep management and/or owner informed on the project progress
  • Lead, coach and manage subordinate including recruitment and provide a proper development plan for them in order to maintain subordinate in attract, motive and retain
  • Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.

 

SENIOR MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR

(Assignment: Head Office, Bintaro)

Preparing detailed cost estimates the Company can have confidence in, all in accordance with Company procedures and accepted good practice for the industry. Actively assist the Estimating Team to continually enhance estimating procedures & processes and contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Min. 5 years experiences as estimator.
  • Strong background in technical aspect of design, calculation, project site supervision, and execution.
  • Computer Literate (Ms. Office), MS Project/Primavera.
  • May require local & overseas travel for site visits as well as occasional short term assignments to work in other Petrosea offices, partners offices etc.
  • Overtime working will be required from time to time.
  • Working in multiple interaction with external departments.
  • Familiarity with Cost Estimating process and software.
  • Extensive knowledge about construction industry, cost , and pricing.
  • Extensive network possession for contractor and vendor is preferable.
  • To possess communication skill.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates in PETS format in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic and hardcopy tender files in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Prepare or arrange for detailed MTOs (quantity take-off) from tender documentation.
  • Attend site visit and prepare detailed report of existing local conditions, available facilities and technical capabilities.
  • Ensure the Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice. Sufficient explanatory notes are to be included referring the location of supplementary information.
  • Ensure that a comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Package is sent only to Company Approved Subcontractors for any “major subcontract” work. Terms and conditions of the Subcontract Package must be back to back with the head contract. Comprehensive Subcontract Enquiry Packages to be reviewed by all Division functional departments. 
  • Ensure Subcontractor responses are properly evaluated and the results tabulated on a Subcontractor Bid Evaluation spreadsheet.
  • Ensure that the Indirect Cost Estimate is properly prepared and cost.
  • Identifies the “big ticket” items in the Estimate and proactively works on these with project management team with a value added outcome as the aim.
  • Assist designated Planner in the preparation of the construction schedule, providing man hours and plant requirement for each activity and also indicating anticipated durations and minimum manning.
  • Participate to benchmarking productivities to be applied to the Estimate against recognized industry norms. The productivity uplift/discount shall be shown separately for each bill item in the estimate.
  • Assist other managers in its interaction for identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to Company. R&O Matrix is to serve as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the Cost Estimate.
  • Ensure the Estimate Basis is “Current Cost” by utilizing the labor and staff rates prepared by the Estimating Manager and all material prices are from current quotations.
  • Present for review the Cost Estimate aspects in detail prior to review of the tender by management.
  • Assist with the preparation of a list of commercial and technical clarifications and qualifications to the proposal.
  • Assist completing Client’s pricing and technical tender schedules.
  • When requested, carry out peer review of estimated compiled by other business department, checking for completeness, pricing accuracy and adequate manning and plant requirements.
  • Responsible for continually maintaining and updating the database of estimating norms including feedback from past projects in Division Estimating and Norms Manual from time to time work as a Bid Manager
  • Maintain and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
