PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) Subsidiary

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (CoW) covering a total area of 1.303 km2.

The resource based on 31 December 2018 includes 8.1 Moz of Gold and 69 Moz of Silver, with economic ore reserves of 4.5Moz gold and 34Moz silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 5.9Mtpa ore to produce in excess of 350,000 oz of Gold and 2-3 Moz of Silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,600 employees and contractors which more than 70 % have been recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) is the majority shareholder of PT Agincourt Resources with a total 95% of the shareholding. The shareholders of PTDTN are PT United Tractors Tbk 60% and PT Pamapersada Nusantara 40%. These companies are part of the PT Astra International Tbk group. The 5% share ownership is owned by the Government of South Tapanuli Regency and North Sumatra Province (local governments).

To strengthen the existing maintenance management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

 

SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS ENGINEER

(PD 2001012)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Project Development Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to Lead Project Controls Engineer.

The Role of The Senior Project Controls Engineer is :

  • Responsible for the development & implementation of planning, scheduling and information systems in supporting individual project and overall programme planning. Develop and maintain schedules for projects, including engineering, procurement and construction
  • Liaise with project engineers, managers and key team members in developing schedules to the correct level of WBS
  • Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule, and prepares and presents a Schedule Impact Report.
  • Analyse schedule slippage and advice of recovery plans.
  • Working closely and communicating effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing projects.
  • Monitor and update project schedules, milestones and overall completion timetables.
  • Ensure the timely production of accurate weekly/monthly schedule progress reports
  • Establish key performance indicators to benchmark individual & collective project performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve schedules including analysis of design changes, time, resource & cost implications
  • Support Project Manager/Site Manager through project life cycle
  • Participate and provide support to staff involved in project or integrated scheduling related reviews (i.e Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), subcontractor validations and internal/external quality audits.
  • Analyse and review impact of cost and schedule changes and report any deviations or overruns.
  • Provide support to Cost Engineering- cost & progress and target controls

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Bachelor degree in Engineering, with a preference for a civil / mechanical engineering, or other related engineering qualification.
  2. Minimum 6-9 years experience in project controls, with at least 2-3 years solid experience in Project Planning using Primavera P6
  3. Site Office and field experience preferred, within project execution environment.
  4. Outstanding ability to work with project teams and other stakeholders to extract information and build the project plan
  5. Excellent communication (written and oral) and stakeholder engagement skills
  6. Primavera P6 highly desirable
  7. Experienced operator of a Cost Management tool essential, with the Prism tool preferred but not essential noting training will be provided.
  8. Advanced competencies in MS excel, word, power point essential.
  9. Large mining companies experience will be well regarded
  10. Existing awareness of the significance of project controls and the role the function plays in providing performance visibility to the Project Manager and the Project Management Team.
  11. Existing awareness of all project lifecycle phases which drive work efforts and pressures.
  12. Existing awareness of the unique challenges encountered whilst working in a project dynamic environment, awareness of how project scope and execution delivery can evolve and impact performance delivery.
  13. Existing awareness of project reporting demands. Projects commit to regular progress updates to report performance against the agreed baseline (scope, cost, hours, quantities, schedule). Reporting is a standard projects obligation and the importance of timely & accurate progress reporting supported through robust performance controls and clear accountabilities cannot be under estimated.
  14. Existing awareness of timely & effective communication, why reliable data is important and how to manage the frequency and volume of change

 

SUPERINTENDENT – GOVERNMENT RELATIONS & PERMITTING

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Permitting & Government Relations Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to Manager Government Relations & Project Compliances.

The role of the Superintendent – Government Relations and Permitting is to support Manager to develop and implement Strategies in line with Corporate Directives and Objectives to obtain and maintain all necessary development and operations permits and conformances in line with prevailing Indonesian Regulations within Martabe site based organization.

To develop and maintain professional relationships with Central and regional Governments as well as other related stakeholders.  This position will report to Manager Government Relations and Project Compliances within Martabe site based organization, under development and implement the strategies of Government Relations & Permitting Department in Martabe site.

This position also has to cooperate closely with a team of professional staff and consultants both in Jakarta and on Site, develop the team and maintain good communication in internal department related.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. University degree in disciplines of Mining, Geology, Environmental, Metallurgy, or Social Sciences.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience Good communication skill both Indonesian and English.
  3. Knowledge of the applicable regulations of the Republic of Indonesia.
  4. Experience in working with multinational company’s operation and understanding about mining company is a value added.
  5. Strong negotiation, analytical and conceptual skills.
  6. Have knowledge and awareness in costing management and control in department.
  7. Knowledge background on Mining background.
  8. Passionate to build and maintain harmonic relationship with the Government and the stakeholders related.
  9. Persistence to follow up to meet the target, and manage the permitting (approval) process.
  10. Prefer if know well local language (Batak Angkola).
