PT BHIMASENA POWER INDONESIA

We are a new established foreign investment company, PT. BHIMASENA POWER INDONESIA the power plant industry that will supply for 2 x 1000 MW located in Central Java, Indonesia. Now we are seeking highly qualified and dynamics professionals to build our organization in the following position:

Media Relation Manager (Code: MRM)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the executive director to develop story concepts and writes compelling press release, public service announcements and media advisories to place in local, regional and national news media, plans and executes a hometown publicity program.
• Develops and maintains a proactive media relations program, dispensing newsworthy information to the media, community and to the public.
• Send media kits, press releases and pitch stories to appropriate media outlets.
• Answering inquiries from the press or other media/community representatives
• Writing, distributing press releases and news reports
• Make a media relation plan as well as community such as blogger or social media communities and execute in regular basis also report

• Developing and update media contacts. Build a complete database and maintain the relationship with the conventional and non-conventional media such as; a. Editor in chief, editor, editorial secretary, b. Reporter,  c. Photo journalist  d. Coordinator coverage  e. Electronic media  f. Bloggers  g. Mobile  h. Blast email provider
• Monitoring media coverage
• Writing letters and invitation
• Work with Account executive consultant to preparing media evaluation report
• Attending/responsible at press conferences and media interviews
• Attending public committee meetings as a representative of the company or organization
• Informing members of the public (as well as the press & community) about events and initiatives
• Work with account constant handling the team to organize media events, community and promotional activitie
• Generating ideas to gain more media coverage
• Conduct media relations activities regularly: a. media gathering  b. Media visit the company  c. media workshop d. Transmit data periodically to all client related media
• Make 'media brief scene report' or social media account
• Assist the Company in transforming client service activities in line with the development needs of the market
• Coordinate with the team in maintaining smooth operations in the areas of media relations and related
• Always update any news from related industries.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree in Journalism, English, Communication or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in the similar field of public relations, community relations with professional writing required in middle/large scale company from energy sector (power, oil & gas, mining etc.).
• Well experienced to handle media management as well as contact with the Government as well as state-own company.
• Very strong writing skills in Bahasa and English and superior interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and able to multitask and working within the team work.
• Station at Jakarta able to make frequent business trips to Central Java areas and other destination if needed
• Excellent connection with media
• Excellent knowledge about media
• Excellent team management skill, project managing and media knowledge
• English proficiency
• High motivation and passion
• Experience working in Public relations, strategic PR planning for at least 3 years
• Manager needs at least 5 years experience with PR and 3 years experience for management (any kind)
• Bachelor or above
• Able to speak Japanese will be advantage
