Operator Assistant – Logging & Perforating

Roles :

• Under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub-surface geologic formations.
• Learns basic oil well operations including the identification of different rig types and drill string components, Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures and equipment, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines, and other appropriate safety and service quality protocols and guidelines.
• Assists during the operation of well logging equipment at job site.
• Learns to assemble down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools).
• Learns to maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment.
• Assists in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports

Requirements :

• Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school / Diploma or similar education.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment is required
• Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required (some locations)
• Successful completion of water survival training may be required
• Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary
• The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required
• Basic computer skills are preferred
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
• Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes

Senior Lab Technician - Chemistry (Balikpapan)

Roles :

• Under general direction, performs assigned duties according to the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties and assists lower level technicians in this area
• Perform routine duties to conduct laboratory tests either following procedures or requiring the selection of test equipment/instrumentation procedures
• In some instances, may perform non-routine prototype and/or laboratory testing
• Operates laboratory or other equipment such as pumps and rig equipment, as required to execute assigned tasks
• May build and/or modify non-routine prototypes, models, and special equipment as required
• Repairs, calibrates, and provides general maintenance on tools and equipment
• May perform complex environmental tests using proficient techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment that includes set-up, calibration, trouble-shooting, monitoring, and data collection
• May train lower level technicians
• Collects data, documents test results, and assists in preparing reports or other documentation
• Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties

Requirements :

• Skills typically acquired through Diploma / Bachelor graduate in Chemistry and 5 years of related laboratory testing experience
• Good English (verbal & written)
• Willing to be stationed at Balikpapan

Material Control Supervisor

Roles :

• Responsible for planning, budgeting, and supervision of all material control activities.
• Providing information on identified material requirements, establishing acquisition priorities, and stating the procurement, fabrication, delivery, issue, and inventory status of each.
• Maintain material systems and records and prepare status reports. Supervises, trains, and determines manpower requirements for Materials Control Specialists.

Requirements :

• Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent industry experience in lieu of experience. Oil & Gas and Mining industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced material planning certification is preferred.
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational experience.
