Field Mechanic (Capstring)

Job Scope:

Repair, install, adjust and maintain oilfield machinery systems in both the field and in the workshop.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observe, test, and evaluate operation of oilfield machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs or modifications.
• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and align components of equipment.
• Clean and lubricate parts and equipment.
• Test-run repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Fabricate replacement parts.
• Responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
• Perform and review equipment checklist and function test the surface equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory at location.
• Required to work at customer location on the basis of 2 weeks on, 1 week off and able to work extra day on location and present in workshop upon request.
• Responsible in servicing/ troubleshooting equipment performance problems associated with the product line.
• Ability to work independently with no or minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate required equipment.
• Compliance with all Weatherford safety regulations and company policies
• Be prepared to work extra hours, as workload requires.
• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
• Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Computer literate and excellent communication in Bahasa & English.
• Minimum 3 years experience as field mechanics or related.
• Candidate with Electric - Mechanical background are encourage to apply.
• Candidate with land rig experience are encourage to apply.
• Familiar with Kubota Engine, Coil Tubing equipments and pumping equipments.
• Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting on various equipments.
• Familiar with Total Indonesia policy and environments.
• Ability to follow repair manuals and procedure.
• Knowledgeable on equipment maintenance and service quality.
• General knowledge of equipment diagnosis and repair
• Good attitude and personality
