Client background: An Europe EPCI MNC with more than 30 vessels to execute offshore subsea construction & installation
Project Engineer (Offshore Pipeline – Platforms Installation)
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Engineering and Construction Manager and when allocated to a specific project tender to the appointed Project Manager and /or Proposal Engineering Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer (SPE) or Construction Manager (CM) as defined by Project Manager (PM) or Proposal Manager
- Assign tasks to Field Engineer & Senior Field Engineers, Technicians and Administrative staff
- Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work. Prepares scopes, interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors and others
- Possesses acceptable knowledge of contractual documentation (contract, waivers, addendums, annexes, scope changes, contractual schedule, etc.) and ensures planning and execution complies with contractual requirements
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of Project Engineering Planning
- Coordinates all project installation engineering between design/ engineering, material, procurement, load out design and transportation of line pipe and offshore installation activities
- Participates in the interface with the client, engineering department, operations department and contractor companies to ensure project documentation complies with contractual requirements
- Works in cooperation with SCM department to ensure all requests for quotation accompany a fully defined scope of services or supply
- Develops installation procedures in accordance with vessel specifications, installation analyses, client and project requirements
- Responsible for providing coaching to field/installation engineers and supervising their work.
- Attends project kick off and general meetings with client
- Assists SPE & CM with coordination of materials, equipment procurement, and mobilizations and demobilizations of
- subcontractor companies
- Assists SPE & CM with the issue of Purchase Requests for material and/or equipment related to the Project
- Assists SPE & CM to ensure safety, health, quality and environmental requirements are met throughout contract life
- Communicates possible changes in the scope of work to project manager
- Supports SPE in the preparation of project logistics plan/equipment preparation in cooperation with operations and SCM departments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5-6 years' experience and above with offshore pipeline/platform installation engineering and project execution
- Works offshore or at different onshore sites when required
- Located in Singapore but may be attached to any other regions when necessary
