Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading international provider of offshore contract drilling services for energy companies. Our client, which has 50 years of experience with high-specification rigs, is seeking a qualified accountant for the job of Tax Division Head, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This job is open to a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with five years or more experience in the tax field. Fluent English and willingness to travel are musts.

Head of Tax Division Job (Assistant Manager Level) (Oil and Gas)

Key job responsibilities will include:

• Review and supervise regional tax compliance and tax reporting related work
• Ensure full compliance with filing tax returns, statutory accounts, and estimated tax payments
• Computation and analysis for the filing of local tax returns (including corporate income tax, WHT, and VAT/GST); review for tax related accounts
• Supervise local tax audits, objections and appeals with the support from local tax advisors
• Review of quarterly tax provision for all relevant jurisdiction, with FIN48 analyses prepared and documentation of tax contingencies
• Ensure quarterly tax provision are completed on timely manner according to headquarter Tax Reporting group deadline
• Engagement with Tax Agent based upon prior acceptance of Pre Approval
• Assessing and monitoring tax exposures in conducting day to day business transactions
• Review tax provisions in client and supplier contracts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from reputable university
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in tax field
• Preferrably familiar with FAS 109 Tax Accounting and FIN 48
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English as the employee may work with multiple jurisdictions in Asia
• Individual may be periodically required to travel internationally (10 percent to 15 percent of the time)
