With the discovery of shale gas in tandem with the increasing awareness for environmental friendliness, more and more countries are turning to natural gas as a cleaner and economic source of energy.

Indonesia is in a unique position of being an exporter and importer of LNG. Blessed with natural gas blocks, Indonesia has been consistently a top LNG exporter in the world. However being the 4th most populous country in the world and increasingly affluent and growing middle class, the demand for natural gas is growing annually, and importing LNG is becoming a reality for Indonesia.

With our strengths in LNG, including possessing our own proprietary Single Mixed Refrigerant technology PRICO®, aligning to favourable market conditions, we are looking to transfer and develop a global execution centre in Jakarta by leveraging on our global capabilities.

One of the first fundamental steps is to hire a proven professional to join our team as the Project Director.

The PD will be entrusted to learn about our global competencies in O&G, work with our global team, and customized the strategies and strengths for local and regional execution.

He/She will be given the responsibilities and mandate to strategise and plan, develop the business model, recruit and organize resources, advise pursuits, and lead the entire execution efforts!

Black & Veatch International - Project Director (Oil & Gas)

Requirements:

• Indonesian nationality, with strong English communication abilities
• A technical degree
• At least 20 years of proven and progressive experience in energy sector, preferably in LNG, refineries, or downstream segment
• Proven project management abilities and has track record in managing medium to large EPC projects in O&G
• Strong knowledge of Indonesia O&G scene from market opportunities, regulatory, government relationship, competitors, vendors, and culture etc.
• Business acumen at the strategic and execution level, and most importantly people management skills to recruit, lead, and motivate a high performance team
• Assertiveness, entrepreneurial mentality, and desire to make a strong mark in one's personal career will be highly valued
• International project experience will be added advantage
• Ability to travel is a must
